Cheteshwar Pujara Retirement: पुजारा के संन्यास की खबर सुनते ही गौतम हुए 'गंभीर', सहवाग-लक्ष्मण ने कही यह बात
Cheteshwar Pujara Retirement चेतेश्वर पुजारा ने 24 अगस्त को क्रिकेट के सभी फॉर्मेट से संन्यास ले की घोषणा कर दी। पुजारा के अचानक टेस्ट क्रिकेट से संन्यास की खबर ने वीरेंद्र सहवाग गौतम गंभीर वीवीएस लक्ष्मण सुरेश रैना युवराज सिंह जैसे पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटरों हैरान कर दिया। सभी ने सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट कर भावभीनी विदाई दी।
स्पोर्ट्स डेस्क, नई दिल्ली। भारतीय टेस्ट क्रिकेट विशेषज्ञ कहे जाने वाले चेतेश्वर पुजारा ने अचानक रविवार 24 अगस्त को संन्यास लेकर सभी को चौंका दिया। उनके अचानक संन्यास की खबर से हेड कोच गौतम गंभीर से लेकर वीरेंद्र सहवाग तक सब दंग रह गए। बीसीसीआई के साथ सभी दिग्गज क्रिकेटरों ने उन्हें भविष्य की शुभकामनाएं दी हैं।
37 वर्षीय चेतेश्वर पुजारा को पिछले दो साल से टीम में जगह नहीं मिल रही थी। हाल ही खत्म हुए इंग्लैंड के दौरे पर भी उन्हें नहीं चुना गया था। इस वजह से पुजारा ने अपने एक दशक से ज्यादा लंबे करियर को समाप्त करते हुए क्रिकेट के सभी फॉर्मेट से संन्यास लेने का ऐलान कर दिया।
ऐसा रहा टेस्ट करियर
साल 2010 में टेस्ट क्रिकेट में डेब्यू करने वाले पुजारा ने 103 मैच में 7000 से ज्यादा रन बनाए हैं। वह टेस्ट क्रिकेट में भारत के लिए 8वें सबसे ज्यादा रन बनाने वाले खिलाड़ी हैं। सौराष्ट्र के इस बल्लेबाज ने भारत के लिए आखिरी बार जून 2023 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप का फाइनल में खेला था। उसके बाद उन्हें टीम में जगह नहीं मिली।

संन्यास लेने वाले चौथे दिग्गज
याद हो कि इस साल सबसे पहले स्पिन ऑलराउंडर रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के दौरे पर अचानक संन्यास की घोषणा की थी। इसके बाद इंग्लैंड के दौरे से ठीक पहले रोहित शर्मा और विराट कोहली ने भी टेस्ट क्रिकेट को अलविदा कह दिया था। अब चेतेश्वर पुजारा ने भी संन्यास लेने की घोषणा कर दी है। पिछले 8 महीनों में पुजारा चौथे ऐसे दिग्गज क्रिकेटर हैं, जिन्होंने संन्यास की घोषणा की है।
