नई दिल्ली, जेएनएन। एक्ट्रेस प्रियामणि वासुदेव अय्यर साउथ ने अजय देवगन स्टारर फिल्म 'मैदान' में राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कार विजेता कीर्ति सुरेश की रीप्लेस किया है। हाल ही में वेब सीरीज़ 'द फैमिली मैन' दिखाई दीं प्रियामणि इन दिनों सुर्खियों में हैं। बॉलीवुड में भले ही प्रियामणि का नाम ज्यादा चर्चा में नहीं रहा, लेकिन एक्ट्रेस साउथ फिल्म इंडस्ट्री की जानी-मानी अदाकारा हैं। अजय देवगन के साथ उनकी फिल्म आने से पहले जानते हैं कि आखिर एक्ट्रेस पहले किन किन फिल्मों में नजर आ चुकी हैं...
प्रिया मणि वासुदेव अय्यर को प्रोफेशनली प्रियामणि के नाम से जाना जाता है। मलयालम, तमिल, तेलुगु, कन्नड़ के अलावा प्रियामणि हिंदी लैंग्वेज में भी फिल्में करती हैं। प्रियामणि बॉलीवुड के कई बड़े प्रोजेक्ट्स में नज़र आ चुकी हैं। प्रियामणि एक्टिंग जगत में आने से पहले एक मॉडल थीं। साल 2002 में प्रियामणि ने तेलुगु फिल्म 'इवाड़े अतागाडू' फिल्म में लीड रोल निभाकर एक्टिंग में डेब्यू किया था।

उसके बाद 2007 में उनकी फिल्म 'परुथीवीरन' से उन्हें खास पहचान मिली। इस फिल्म के लिए एक्ट्रेस को 'नेशनल फिल्म अवार्ड फॉर बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस' से सम्मानित किया गया और उसके बाद 'फ़िल्म फेयर अवार्ड' से भी नवाज़ा गया। प्रियामणि ने साउथ सिनेमा में तमिल के साथ साथ कन्नड़, मलयालम आदि फिल्मों में भी अभिनय किया है।

बात करें उनके बॉलीवुड करियर की तो प्रियामणि ने मणि रत्नम की बाइलिंगुअल फिल्म रावण से बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू किया था। इसके तुरंत बाद ही राम गोपाल वर्मा की ट्राइलिंगुअल फिल्म रक्तचरित्र में नज़र आईं थीं। चेन्नई एक्सप्रेस फिल्म का उनका आइटम सॉन्ग '1234' भी सुपर हिट साबित हुआ था। पिछले साल अमेज़न प्राइम वीडियो पर आयी वेब सीरीज़ 'द फैमिली मैन' दर्शकों द्वारा काफी पसंद की गयी थी। इस वेब सीरीज में प्रियामणि ने मनोज बाजपेयी के कैरेक्टर श्रीकांत तिवारी की पत्नी सुचित्रा तिवारी का किरदार निभाया था।
